CABIN OPERATOR PROTECTIVE STRUCTURES FOR EXCAVATORS

A new era has begun for QMW Industries Pty Ltd yet again. QMW Industries have in the past, a proven record of doing what the others can’t. QMW has successfully been carrying out their business of solving operator safety issues and tackling problems that their competitors believe cannot be solved. QMW Industries over the past few years have been developing an Operator Protective Structure that will protect excavator operators. It has been a policy in the past that excavators are exempt from having any Rollover protection, as the industry believed it could not be done. 

A new international Excavator ROPS standard is due to be released in the near future QMW Industries have been proactively designing and manufacturing an Excavator ROPS that will comply to the new standard. Until such time the standard is released they will continue to be known as COPS - Cabin Operator Protective Structure, its prototype has successfully undergone destructive testing.

QMW have for the past twenty years been heavily involved in providing a service to the mining, quarrying and earthmoving industries throughout Australia. When the duty of care legislation came into being and the responsibility of safety and hazard prevention became the standard in the Earthmoving industry, QMW fitted an enormous scope of operator protective structures from old Massey Ferguson farm tractors to 200 Tonne Euclids. More recently QMW has successfully developed safety solutions for specialist equipment such as underground mining equipment, people carriers, drilling machines and road trucks.
