QMW Industries has been appointed a Caterpillar OEM Solutions partner, gaining factory-direct access to new Cat® machine platforms for QMW's specialty vehicle builds.

Caterpillar OEM Solutions is the division of Caterpillar's Resource Industries group that supplies bare chassis machines, partial machines and integrated systems to original equipment manufacturers, a program that has supported specialty machine builders since 1965. The partnership gives QMW the ability to purchase new Cat off-highway trucks, articulated trucks and wheel loaders directly from the factory and deliver them as complete, purpose-built machines under one roof.

Turnkey supply, one supplier

For QMW's customers, that means genuine turnkey supply. Rather than sourcing a machine through one channel and having it converted through another, customers can now order a QMW-built water truck, fuel/lube service vehicle or MEWP wheel loader on a brand-new Cat platform, engineered, integrated and delivered by QMW as a single package, with the base machine supported through the global Cat dealer network.

The initial machine range

Off-highway trucks

Cat 770–775 bare chassis, for water trucks and fuel/lube service vehicles.

Articulated trucks

Cat 725–745 bare chassis (SWB / LWB), for custom service, water and support builds.

Wheel loaders

Cat 950–988, for QMW MEWP conversions on new machines.

Water technology

The partnership also opens access to Cat's Water Delivery System (WDS) technology, including the new WDS 2.0 with automated, speed-referenced spray control and MineStar™ connectivity, for integration into QMW water truck builds.

This is a significant step for QMW. Our customers have always come to us for the engineering: the tanks, the service modules, the MEWP conversions. Now we can supply the whole machine, new from Caterpillar, built to their specification from day one. One supplier, one build, factory backing.

What it means for customers

Factory-direct platforms. New Cat bare chassis machines supplied direct through the Caterpillar OEM Solutions program, built into your configuration from day one instead of retrofitted after the fact.

One build, one supplier. Chassis, engineering, body build, integration and certification delivered by QMW as a single package: one contract, one point of accountability.

Cat dealer support. The base machine remains supported through the global Cat dealer network for parts and service, wherever the machine works.
